Barlow Prime Tirpitz-Damast Boker Solingen pocket knife. A collector's knife made at the Boker factory in Solingen. Damascus steel blade and walnut handle with micarta ferrule.
The classic Boker Barlow combines with Tirpitz Damascus steel to create the Boker Barlow Prime Tirpitz Damascus, a compact and elegant gentleman's knife.
For the blade, the exclusive Tirpitz Damascus is used with a modern and elongated ricochet. This razor opens thanks to a nail notch.
*Tirpitz is the sister battleship to Bismarck, which was the largest battleship ever launched for the German Navy. She sank off the coast of Norway and Norwegian divers recovered parts of the Tirpitz special armor plating from the fjord for Böker. With these pieces, the Böker blacksmiths forge an extraordinary 200-layer damask with the pattern of the Great Pyramid, giving rise to a collection knife of great beauty. This Damascus steel is combined with carbon steels to obtain an extremely durable steel, with a hardness of 61-63 HRc.
The razor has a Slipjoint closure, with enhanced security thanks to the 90 degree detent.
The teardrop shape of the Barlow is inspired by 17th century English pocketknives.
This model of the Boker Barlow Tirpitz knife has the body and bolster in contoured black micarta, with walnut wood scales. The decorative rivets are made of nickel silver and the screw on the blade is made of stainless steel. With high-quality felt case for storage. Handmade in the Boker knife factory in Solingen.
